About Oakland Economic Development
Oakland Economic Development, also known in the community as “OED”, is a group of volunteer individuals & business members who are dedicated to the success & growth of the community as a whole.
OED partners with organizations & initiatives around the state to bring exciting events, tourism & commerce opportunities to the historic town of Oakland, Oregon. Many impactful projects are in the works!

Meetings are held every 3rd Tuesday of the month at 9am.
We’d love to see new faces! With our many exciting projects, guest speakers from community organizations & detailed meeting agendas, please note that meetings can run up to 2 hours & we invite you to stay if possible!
Members are not required to attend meetings to join OED. We understand having prior commitments or conflicting business hours! Active members receive meeting minutes via email.

As an OED member yourself, enjoy free trainings, events & opportunities by SACC!
To receive promotion by SACC for your business, you must also be an SACC member. OED members are eligible for $50 off their annual SACC membership.
Annual membership fee:
Annual memberships are $50 per individual or business member.
With this fee, you’ll enjoy the mentioned perks, as well as have a vote on key matters when present for any monthly meetings.
