Exciting news for our community!
Oakland, Oregon has been selected as part of the newly established Sutherlin Area Regional Main Street Hub of the Umpqua. This initiative, spearheaded by Oregon Main Street (OMS), aims to bolster rural communities by providing resources and support tailored to their unique needs.
The Sutherlin Chamber of Commerce will lead this regional hub, which also includes the cities of Sutherlin and Winston. This collaboration is designed to enhance downtown revitalization efforts, promote economic development, and preserve the rich heritage of our historic districts.
By participating in this program, Oakland will have increased access to training, technical assistance, and potential funding opportunities, all aimed at strengthening our local economy and community identity.
